Arthur's Pass Outdoor Education Centre,
right in the heart of the Southern Alps

The Arthur's Pass Outdoor Education Centre sleeps up to 45 people and is a comfortable, recently renovated building in Arthur's Pass village. The village is surrounded by the 113 000 hectare Arthur's Pass National Park. This natural environment is the classroom for our experiential learning programme.

Arthur's Pass Outdoor Education Centre is run by the Arthur's Pass Outdoor Education Centre Trust. The Trust is a charitable organization, whose aim is to foster appreciation of the natural history of the Arthur's Pass area. Through this we hope to create positive attitudes towards New Zealand's natural environment.

We have put this site together to help you to prepare for your exciting visit to Arthur's Pass and the Southern Alps.

Please use the links at the left of this page to access our teaching resources, information on the Centre and details of our programme.
